GILLIS WAS A TRUE GENTLEMAN: MCNEIL

(Halifax, NS) Liberal leader Stephen McNeil says the province has
lost a proud and devoted Nova Scotian in former Liberal MLA and cabinet
minister Bill Gillis.

“Bill Gillis spent nearly thirty years in the House of Assembly
making a difference in the lives of the people he served,” said
McNeil. “He was a gentleman who held his constituents, his colleagues
and his office in the highest regard.”

McNeil expresses his deepest sympathy to Mr. Gillis’ family and
friends.

“Our hearts and thoughts are with Joan, Amy, John and their families
at this difficult time,” McNeil said. “Bill’s example is the
standard for those of us who continue in public service.”
