BROWN WAS COMMITTED TO SERVING NOVA SCOTIA: MCNEIL Date: Friday January 8, 2010
(Halifax, NS) Liberal leader Stephen McNeil says the province has lost a dedicated Nova Scotian in former Liberal cabinet minister Garnet Brown.
“Garnet Brown spent nine years in the legislature representing the riding of Halifax-Eastern Shore,” states McNeil. “He was someone who wanted to make a difference in the lives of the people he served and without question, he achieved that.”
Brown held several posts under former premier Gerald Regan, including the Minister of Highways and Public Works, Minister of Recreation and Tourism Minister.
“Today, our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Brown family and all of Garnet’s loved ones at this difficult time."
