MCNEIL: GOVERNMENT MEMBERS OBSTRUCTING THE WORK OF LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE

(Halifax, NS) Liberal Leader Stephen McNeil says government members of the Public Accounts Committee are obstructing the work of the committee, and he wants it to stop.

Today the Vice-Chair of the Committee (NDP Member) Leonard Preyra stonewalled attempts to set the agenda for the PAC citing the intention of the NDP government to prorogue the House.

"This is a blatant attempt to frustrate and pervert the valuable work of the Public Accounts Committee," said McNeil. "This is a government that talks about transparency and accountability and then stands in its way."
