The Nova Scotia Liberal Caucus is looking for a dynamic, creative professional with strong communication skills and excellent knowledge of photo, video and other forms of digital production for the position of Digital Media Coordinator and Graphic Designer.
Salary Range:
The Nova Scotia Liberal Caucus offers a competitive compensation package including a good benefits plan. Salary range is $45,000 - $55,000 annually, dependent on experience.

About this Opportunity:
As the Digital Media Coordinator and Graphic Designer, you will work with the Communications Team to help support Nova Scotia Liberal Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs). You will be responsible for creating high-quality, visual and engaging digital materials, including photography, graphics, videos, advertisements and other promotional and communications materials.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Digital Media Coordinator and Graphic Designer will be responsible for the brand of the Caucus and ensuring its consistency across all channels, including web, social media, print and advertising. You will also be responsible for the coordination and monitoring of social media accounts, ensuring they are active and pushing frequent, high-quality content.

Responsibilities:

Work with the Communications Team to execute communications plans and objectives

Create high-quality, visual and engaging materials to be used online and for print, including graphics, videos, advertisements and promotional materials

Manage all social media channels including content creation, execution and performance

Attend events to capture photo and video content

Film and produce videos for social media and other communications channels

Execute and analyze digital ad campaigns on platforms such as Google, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn

Monitor relevant social and digital media channels to observe news and other information
Qualifications and Skills:
The successful candidate will have:

Appropriate post-secondary education coupled with relevant communications experience

Strong understanding of social media platforms and social media management tools

Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills

Proven ability to create high-quality, engaging digital content

Understanding of the importance of brand consistency and professionalism

Strong time-management skills and the commitment to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment

Experience and skill using Adobe Creative Suite

Experience and skill with photography

Experience and skill with video shooting and video production

Interest in, and knowledge of, Nova Scotia political affairs (an asset but not mandatory)
