Patricia Arab to Re-Offer for Liberals in Fairview-Clayton Park

Jun 13, 2024

Patricia Arab will re-offer as the Liberal candidate for Fairview-Clayton Park

Since being elected in 2013, Patricia has served her constituents with pride. In 2017, she became the youngest female cabinet minister when she became the Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Internal Affairs and Minister of Communications Nova Scotia. In Opposition, she serves the Liberal caucus as Deputy House Leader and Energy critic.

“Representing the people of Fairview-Clayton Park for more than a decade has been one of my greatest honours,” said Arab. “We’ve accomplished so much since 2013, but we have more to do, particularly when it comes to housing and affordability. I’m proud to be part of a team that’s focused on making life better for Nova Scotians.”

As the MLA for a diverse and fast-growing community, Patricia has championed initiatives that would support low- and middle-income Nova Scotians like a universal school lunch program and reversing harmful cuts to the Heating Rebate Assistance Program. As a member of the former Liberal government, she secured funding for a new rink and community room for the Centennial Arena and brought pre-primary and Schools Plus to Fairview-Clayton Park.

“For more than 10 years, I’ve had the pleasure of serving alongside Patricia,” said Liberal Leader Zach Churchill. “She is a highly intelligent and compassionate MLA who works hard for the people she represents. I know that with Patricia as their MLA, Fairview-Clayton Park will continue to have a strong voice in the legislature.”
